What is Worktrack

Worktrack is a temporary employment programme lasting 26 weeks. Worktrack employment will allow you to earn a wage while improving your prospects of finding and securing employment.
Both part-time and full-time posts are available
You will be paid in line with the National Minimum Wage regulations and be entitled to paid holidays

  Training

Individual training is an important aspect of Worktrack enhancing opportunities to enter / re-enter the Labour Market.
Training will focus on allowing you to gain / regain the disciplines of a working environment and practice your skills.
You will have an Individual Training and Employment Plan and work towards personally agreed objectives.

  Who is Eligible?

YOU ARE :

If you are over 18 years of age (no upper age limit applies).

Have been unemployed for 26 weeks immediately prior to starting on Worktrack; or

If you are in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance (JSA), and you are over 25 years of age and have been in receipt of that benefit for between 26 - 65 weeks and satisfy the reminder of the eligibility criteria.

Have not participated in Worktrack during the preceding 3 years.

Those who would otherwise be eligible for Worktrack had they not made a claim for Job Seekers Allowance prior to 13 weeks of the date on which they will enter Worktrack.

Employment of less than 16 hours per week during the qualifying period may be discounted when programme eligibility is being assessed.

Persons in full-time education are not eligible until they have been unemployed for a 26 week period and meet the above requirements.

In certain circumstances early entry into the programme may be permitted e.g. persons who have been made redundant or persons with disabilities.
